Case study: Conoco Phillips
Design & replacement of Double Floor
This project involved the removal of the existing floor to scrap, and the design and installation of the new double floor.
The floor was cold cut and the shell to bottom weld seam was removed. The tank was jacked to allow the cut plates to be removed to scrap.
This project was of particular interest as the roof structure needed to be supported with a king post during the removal of the old floor and installation of the new floor.
The new floor was designed by our in house design department. The project also included peripheral items such as walkways and a spiral staircase all of which were manufactured in our workshops.
