Case study: Vynova
Vynova Runcorn Tank 201 was a new build carbon steel construction project, the tank was 15M in diameter and 20M in height. It involved constructing the roof and two shell course sections off plot to allow for simultaneous operations on the foundations for the tank.
Upon completion of the foundation by others, we laid the carbon steel tank floor and positioned the jacking stools and jacking equipment in readiness for the roof to be installed.
The lifting of the roof was a contract lift utilising a 500t crane.
Once the top section of the tank had been installed, we then proceeded to install a further 7 shell courses using the tank jacking method.
